Stem cell research is a good way for other countries to make a lot of money. Other countries, unlike the US, are investing heavily in embryonic stem cell research. We risk a lot by not investing.

The problem is that the nonpublic sector won't commit monies over 5-7 years which is how long it would take to see results....but it could happen sooner with federal funding.
