I saw an article today saying that Israel started planning this attack a year ago. They were looking for an excuse, any excuse to start a war. Kind of like Bush in the runnup to the Iraq invasion.

If any of them were hurt or killed by Israeli counterfire, their blood is on the hands of Hamas, not Israel. If you fight without uniforms and use civilians as shielding or camouflage, you are responsible for their deaths, not the uniformed soldiers on the other side who shoot back. As Austin Bay observes, Hezbollah is using all of Lebanon as its shield.
