You know EC, when I first got to Alaska I was amazed that they use the cod for crab bait. Few alaskans eat cod or flounder. Its halibut salmon or nothing.

For those who have never seen a halibut they are the ones hanging on the side of the boat. Boy are they good eating.

We once caught a 216 lb one and the meat was so tough we never did eat it. It was a 60 year old female they guessed.

They ought to just make it illlegal to keepp them as they are just huge egg factories.

I have always wondered how far south the big Halibut range e.g. do they get to Washington state??
