Many of the tall peaks around the lake have are still snow topped!!

It was a lovely sight as always. Lake Tahoe is such a nice spot but the water is cccccccold!! I like to get in and tread water for about 30 minutes and bob in the waves. It's so invigorating.

During my younger years I always was the first one to swim in the local lake after the ice went out........Three days or so after the final melt. It was never in the water long but I did dip into it.

IT's average depth is something like 1000ft...........deep and cold.

Senate Update:
OHIO: Democrat Sherrod Brown holds an 8-point edge in his bid to unseat two-term Republican Sen. Mike DeWine.

Here are the eight races to watch:

1) Hold Two Marginal seats:
Minnesota: Dayton retired, Klobucker is the nominee.
New Jersey: Menendez.

2) Pickup these seats:

A) Fairly easy ...
Pennsylvania: Casey should defeat Santorum.
Montana: Tester has a very good chance to defeat Burns.

B) Should be doable, although currently considered tossups:
Ohio: Brown over DeWine.
Rhode Island: Whitehouse or Brown (primary is 9/12) over Chafee.

C) Now it gets harder:
Missouri: McCaskill is very close in the polls behind Talent.
Tennessee: Frist is retiring. Ford is close in the polls.
