We don't have AC in our main house because we usually don't need it. I open up the house every night and create an in/out draft with fans......in on the bottom floor and out on the top floor............it works great if you don't open the doors and windows during the day. Our climate where we live is like the desert in that it is usually cool at night so the draft creation works well as long as I exhaust the warm air on the second floor and replace it with cooler air from inflow fans on the bottom floor. My husband isn't following my master plan so he is at home sweating it out, literally. He claimed it is among the worst weather he can remember for many years ( he's a Ca native ). HEre at Tahoe it's pleasant but I am also doing the same plan with =fans in a 2 story condo. I'll be roasting with everyone else tomorrow when I return to Santa Clara County. :>)
