--OK. Thank you. You have successfully found a fib brinker told when he thought he was anonymous.

Now, can you tell us an out-and-out lie he has told in the newsletter or on the radio program, when everyone knew it was him writing or speaking?"

That STII deal was a real WHOPPER wasn't it Dija. Amazing display of dishonesty. You're welcome.

Ok so you want an example of Brinker fibbing on the radio. It is obvious that you do not get your marching orders from Bob LOL cause he is nothing if not a fibber.

Ok when the heat got so redhot Brinker shut down his discussion boards on his site where only subscribers could post. Near the same time he also started a "bulletin site" (remember that hole in the fence we called it??)
Both posting on his discussion site and accessing the bulletin site (where he said he would give any necessary updates on the QQQ disaster) required that you have your subcription # that was on your marketimer.

Now even though only subscribers could post, they were quite restless and asking questions Brinker didn't want seen. Indeed Jr. was zapping a lot of posts and even some subscribers were "disappearing" . But there were never many posters on the site, indeed it was a relative handful. Anyone could read the site, but very few actually posted, more so of course after going to a "subscription only format".

A few months after Brinker cancelled the bulletin boards on Christmas eve 2000, a caller asked "another question" and it dealt with the discussion boards and when they would return.

Brinker told the guy he had to get rid of the discussion boards because so many people were calling in to the operators to get their subscription numbers that it was tying up the switchboards.

Now Dija EVERYBODY knows that's a lie. Cept somebody who is blind as a bat or has an interest in not admitting the truth.

Dija, Another great radio lie was after Brinker pulled the newsletters from the libraries and asked that all previous eveidence (er I mean "materials") be removed as well, a caller asked Brinker why?

Now keep in mind this was after the QQQ deal was headed south and Brinker was in deep coverup mode trying to minimize the damage of the QQQ fiasco.

He told the caller. "We had to stop the newsletter from going to libraries because we have "electronic enhancements" -and it would not be fair to those libraries not to have the electronic enhancements."

One of my favorite Flippity Flop Fibs by Brinker concerned his going to cash in 88, the only time in his whole life Brinker went 100% to cash and claimed at the time to be bearish.

He wandered around with different allocations until he became fully invested on the eve of the first gulf war in 91. There was no bear and indeed the market moved up something like 30% during that time.

Brinker claimed he "changed" his model to prevent that from happening. I listened one day and he said that he had backtested the model and it had proved that it would have worked perfectly through that and other such periods.

A year or so later another caller brought up the change in the model and mentioned the back testing. Brinker had forgot his speel from the year before and interupted the caller saying.

"I never backtested the new model. There would be no reason to do so. You already know the results so it would be silly to backtest, knowing the results."

So there you have it Dija, You can take your choice. Brinker was either lying when he said he "backtested" his model or he was lying when he said it was "silly to backtest" his model. He simply couldn't remember the fibs. That is a great reason to simply tell the truth. I have many more if you like.

"Now, can you tell us an out-and-out lie he has told in the newsletter or on the radio program, when everyone knew it was him writing or speaking?"

I'm so glad that you asked, FakeDija. He has stated that he NEVER gave individual stock recommendations on the radio.

I say that was as close to being a lie as they come, if not one. We may differ about Utek. We may differ about GE. Both of which he may not have individually recommended, but surely did not go out of his way to discourage anyone.

I will bring up the large cap semi-conductors that he raved about for years, often for an entire segment of his program. Now, I know I am going back a while, but to my credit :---), I have not listened to the fraud for many many years.

Novellus (NVLS) was his darling. He spoke about it, he raved about it, he bragged how good it was to him. Now, you will say that it was never a specific recommendation per se. One would not be able to tell the difference, in my opinion. You could include AMAT, and KLAC with NVLS.

I think your hero is a liar, if not directly, absolutely by spin, misdirection, and omission.
