Today is the result of Lebanon "getting along" with everybody including Hezbollah is it not?

The corporate media interviewed Israeli Arabs after the Hezbollah rocket hit and killed two little boys in their neighborhood. Those who were interviewed wouldn't blame Hezbollah but they would blame the Israeli government for failing to run the siren or provide bomb shelters.

If this is the prevailing sentiment then making a single nation would end up being the demographic bomb that the Israeli Jews are afraid of. Even without being a single nation, it's a possibility that Arabs will outnumber Jews in Israel by mid-century.

Anyway, that's how I understand the situation. Will Israeli Jews end up living behind cement walls until they're bursting at the seams being ever suspicious of their fellow citizens?

In my opinion that would be the ideal, but us humans don't quite seem to be there yet, especially with strong cultures. The USA is mostly a land of no culture, remember that.

If rather than partition the land into two ethnic states the parties involved tried to all get along equally in one country(a la Lebanon since 1990) they might not have the troubles that they have today.....

Lebanon has hardly been a shining light of peace. "Since 1990" only deals with the last 16 years. Before that they had a major civil war and also smaller conflicts.
