Thats what you do with "Hypothetical Bonds" you hypothecate them.

Do I understand correctly that the asset claim is largely Venezuela issued and other bonds? Do they state the cost or how they purchased the bonds?

In one of the PRs they claim to have bought all the shares - what's being traded is the "shorts".
