Hezbollah actions were in revenge to the sacking of the Palestine Govt. and illegal detention and mistreatment of Hamas officials - another "pre-emptive" action on the part of Israel. Sometimes the US is a broker of peace in the ME. Now they're just cheerleaders for Israel.

Democrats fully support Israel. That is one issue they agree with Bush on, though democrats are proven to be much more proactive about making peace. Clinton did it before Hamas broke the peace. And Carter made huge strides to lay the groundwork. Some on the left make the mistake of seeing Israel as "the agressor". They fail to remember Israel has no choice but to be ruthless, being outnumbered 10-1 on all sides. The issue we democrats have with Bush is stubborn refusal to deviate from the already-discreited neocon "Axis Of Evil" fantasy which is surely a self-defeating dream right out of Vietnam and the domino theory circa 1965.

Bush ran away from the Israel issue for 5 years. Screw you for attacking Democrats, who have been there since Clinton urging Bush to get engaged and try and solve the crisis like Clinton almost did. Bush totally ignored all those requests. It is the Bush GOP which is weak on Israel. because peace is a lot better than war. War sucks. It destroys and kills. It rarely has any positive result. We should only go to war because we HAVE to, as Kerry wisely said.
