I understand about the tribes, settled and nomadic. They lived on their land. If you want to call it a state, country, Mandate, colony...what ever...it was their land in the tradition of their forefathers and foremothers.

As for Saudia Arabia, it certainly is a reservation for Saudi Arabs, and other Arabs, if not by mandate by default.

I might add that in this modern age, Saudi Arabia is little more than a colony of the US, though not formally so. With installed Governor Generals, protected by the US. Samo for Jordan and mostly samo for Egypt.
