If the Zionists claim to be Jews, and most do, then they should follow the dictates of the Jewish religion. But nowhere in the Jewish religion does it say they were to steal the Holy Land or obtain it by tricks and other devices. Indeed, and as you well know, they were to abide by the religion, performing their Mitzvot (Commandments) until the Messiah decided to come and lead them to the Holy Land. Thus I judge the Zionists in their own terms, not mine. > How do you even know that the actions of the Zionists are even wrong? Based upon what value system do you arrive at this conclusion? How is it wrong to kill Arabs and take their land? What tells you this is not acceptable? Perhas this is just Darwinistic survival of the fittest. Kill or be killed. Go no further than UN Resolution 242 and the fourth Geneva Convention, both of which say that Israel cannot take the land which it has gained in war. Thus, it is not necessary to examine my value system in order to know what is right and what is not. I do agree, though, that the situation has certainly become one of the "survival of the fittest" now, kill or be killed, but there was a time, at least in my opinion, where there could have been a solution and a peaceful resolution to the conflict. > If you simply are to take what everyone says at face value, how can you ever be sure about anything? Very often one can't be, that's true. In fact, and for the reason you suggest, life to everyone is a subjective experience based on one's perception, understanding, knowledge etc. Indeed, no two people can see the world in exactly the same way. > Now the earth can't be both round and flat, so right there you are forced to make a judgment or you are left to acknowledge that you don't really know anything about anything. One has to make certain premises and one has to accept certain verifiable hypotheses as facts. That's what education is all about. But there is a big difference between a scientifically verifiable fact and a belief.
