Me neither. But i go back to my earlier post. Israel has probably warned lebanon about what would happen if hizbolla did certain things. They probably have warned hizbolla as well. But no one took them seriously as israel has become a bit of a paper tiger after its last trip into lebanon. What is deterrence anyway if it is not backed up by force.
I think they took a couple of shots at south beirut to catch hizbollah leaders literally napping. After that there have been few casualties as lebanon systematically pays a price for not reigning in terrorists. Much like when they hit PA infrastructure after terror attacks over there.
I dont always fully understand how it is too work if neither PA or Leb has the wherewithall to go up against terror groups. Perhaps the israelis think they lack will to do the right thing and they punish them accordingly. Barring a dramatic breakthru in the next week, this is likely to calm down and be settled. Hizbolla is not suicidal at its core. And israel knows they are on a tight leash held by condi.
