In response, the US sent in army troops. Not really that different than what Israel is doing. The issue is not whether Israel can strike back in their endless tit-for-tat way, but whether they destroy a whole country and then send in a proxy occupation army to keep the population displaced. The ethics of the situation are really quite clear. This is not a war to protect Israel. This is a war to keep the population of Israel surrounded by enemies so that the neocons can remain influential. TP
