I don't think we should be involved at all. So long as oil producing nations in the middle east are willing to sell us oil at market prices I don't see our interest in the region.

Other than the oil question I don't see the region as being of great significance. To me China, India, Russia, Central America and South America of much greater relevance.

CR: The Art of War states that the best winner a war is to conquer the enemy without killing a single man (or the current version is "without firing a single bullet).

The Texas leader still has the Wild Wild West mentality: shoot and ask question later, or in this case, no question is ever asked after killing the other side.
