Saw Judy Collins (or was she Joan Collins or maybe even Tom Collins?) on PBS fund raising singing that song. It was almost perfect except that she did not sing the original music, but rather injected her own version. Those types of altering the original score does not sit well with me. Even if that was done by the original song writer (like Paul Simon). When the original is already a classic, leave it alone. Well, football season is coming soon, and those singing their own version of our national anthem should just be kicked way to the goal posts.
