I think people who are doing illegal things trying extra hard to appear normal, so as not to arouse suspicion. Don't you think that is likely? It's a nice cover, looking normal. As I recall, I think serial killers do that too. That's why everyone on the block always says "He ways so quiet. He seemed like such a nice neighbor." rathter than, "he had 11 wives, of COURSE we thought he could be a serial killer." I don't mind normal families in general, but I do have a problem with the ones covering up child sexual abuse, and I'm sure you have a problem with that too- so don't get distracted.
