You are the first to offer this as a possiblity. I doubt it Hawk. The way Hizbollah is fighting the IDF, this would be a suckers bet for the Christians.

Don't have the false perception that the Lebanese Christians can't fight. They understand that Hizbullah is seeking to run the government (if they aren't already are), and the understand the complicity that Hizbullah had in the death of Hariri.

The current Lebanese PM seems to be deliberately declining to criticize Hizbullah. And when it was stated that the Lebanese Army was going to get involved, it apparently sent some shock waves through the officer corps who have little desire to engage Israel over this fracas that Hizbullah has started.

But we'll see.. I'm just saying the risk is there that a civil war could re-erupt.. Especially if Hizbullah attracts further shi'a support based upon this confrontation with Israel.

By the time Israel is done, the Christians may think they can handle them. TWT.
