If SPX takes out the 7/3 top, that would kill at least one of the scenarios which we were bouncing around here recently - the one of a (putative) symmetric triangle starting from the orthodox low on 5/24.

If today's rally was a "c", it is interesting that so far it topped at a level where it is equal 62% of the sharp rally of last week. C=A near 1277... a few points short of the July top.

I have the upper line of that putative triangle near 1273.

Don't get me wrong, I am not married to the idea (g), but if the index rallies up to resistance and then retraces back into the 1250's... I'll pay attention.
