>>Did you cover your GM short?<<

Get yer head outta yer arse Falcon...I haven't been short GM since I flipped some puts on it (for a profti) in mid June. And certainly not when I wrote the post you are referring to:

That's what the "DISCLOSURE" part means. More folks should use that little device, IMO....

As far as "gold bugitis" goes, did you bother to read the post you responded to? I've been neutral-SHORT on gold since May (up till today, when I closed my short IAU position and started buying a little HMY). Gold bugs do some crazy $hit, but not too many of 'em short gold! My short ammo has mainly been in homebuilders which have been crashing very nicely for months.

GM may survive. IF they either renege on their pension obligations, smash the UAW and/or get bought out by Nissan and Renault. Maybe their 2007 roadster will be called the "Escargot"!<G>

Hackworth was a great guy, that is true. He supported our troops (in every sense of the word, not in the phoney- baloney yellow ribbon on the back bumper of the GM-manufactured Hummer kinda way) right up to the day he died.
