I do believe in truth -- scientific truth. The laws of physics, although things can get a little fuzzy there. Mathematics, although I don't really comprehend anything more complicated than geometry and simply algebra. Anything you can reach out and pat with your hand, I believe in.

But that's not what you're talking about, at least I don't think so. You're talking about who's righteous and who's wicked, who's virtuous and who's vicious, who started the fight. Who's right about global warming, who's right about Israel/Palestine, who's right about conservative/liberal, who's right about Kerry/Bush, who's right about what to do next.

As for me, I am glad I don't even have to believe my client is telling me the truth when he says the light was green, only that I can't know he's lying and put him on the witness stand.

No human being is capable of always telling the truth. That I believe to be truth.

God may well be truth but I don't have any pipeline to God.
