Yes, a story about a real mental institution would look too much like the Middle East to put on screen.

I read an op-ed today somewhere that pointed out how conflicts like these days are sanitized for US TV. But the participants on the ground see all the rubble and gore and blown up babies and families. Nothing nice or sweet about it at all.
