*Very* well said: ... Mr. Bush is NOT a conservative on fiscal matters, nor does he follow traditional conservative views on privacy rights, small government, nation-building, and more. Lots of conservatives have problems with Mr. Bush's policies. ...Frankly I think the silliest posts by anyone are those who say "demohacks do this" or "the chimp did that". Issues are more complicated than names or slogans.

ok, ok, since your name is not Buddy, I will try to be more civil to you, haha, but if you start posting junk from Bush hating lefty websites, then we will know, right?

To you anyone who disagrees with the great President Bush is automatically a "pinheaded Bush hating libber"...

Not so, because there are issues that I disagree with him.

Has the President's policies made the world safer?

How many attacks have there been on out own soil since 9-11? Worldwide, it is impossible to tell yet. Did you really think we could sit back forever and do nothing even in the face of the Islamo-terrorist network growing worldwide? Do you think Hezbollah was collecting Iranian rockets just for grins and self defense?

Has he returned integrity to the oval office?

If you define "integrity" as one who goes along to get along like Clinton, then maybe not. Otherwise, yes, I do think he has. Perfect no....improvement over Bubba? you bet.

Is he a fiscal conservative?

No, BUT, could he have done better with the line item veto? IMO, there ARE no fiscal conservatives in Washington ...It looks like pigs at a trough.

Possibly, just possibly, did this Administration lead us into a quagmire in Iraq that could be a true disaster?

NO. As far as the start of the war, this question has been answered over and over and over, and it is a good thing that we did what we did. As far as NOW, IMO, the jury is out as to whether the young Iraqi government can hold it together. BTW, are you aware of how long it took the good old USA to put it all together when we formed our country?

Has this Administrations' abject refusal to talk to North Korea increased the risk to the U.S. over giving them a one on one dialogue and then making clear the impact of their present actions?

No. Clinton tried it and it failed. All we did was a giveaway program with them and what did we get? IMO, since Japan, SK, and others in the area have a stake in what happens, multinational talks are the way to go with that nut. ALSO my opinion, before it is over, this nut will FIND a reason to cut loose with his arsenal on the SK border, no matter what.

Is GWB intellectually curious about the cultures, history and societal rules governing the peoples he is trying to push to democracy?

He is aware that despots with towels on their heads want to bomb civilization back to the stone age. The hell with their "societal" rules, I like air conditioning too much...:o)

The President TOLD the American public and the world that fighting a war on terror was NOT going to be a short term thing. I know CNN and MSNBC all think it should be slam bam...etc etc, but it ain't gonna happen that way.

It interests me that CNN(or any media) will report 2 terrorists killed here or 8 killed there or 22 wounded over yonder.....that is a different war than we were used to watching in the movie theaters. We were used to seeing hundreds, if not thousands being killed in just one battle of WW1 or WW2. Point being, that CNN reporter gets bored pretty soon pointing out those minor numbers, so he/she goes looking for stories.....like whose house was bombed or what civilian got killing in the fray, or how much Hezbollah was providing to the Lebonese people, etc etc.....then, when enough of that starts hitting the airwaves, the pollsters start hitting the phones with the type questions that lead the public into hating the war (any war) and wanting it stopped.

So it is not an easy job being the Pres. I don't know why ANYONE would want the job.
