The 2000-2001 Enron-Bush-Cheney energy gouging is one of the great scandals of US history, and one of the most costly, but many millions were spent to cover it up, blame it on others, throw up smokescreens, close down investigations and dissipate the clarity of what was happening.

Bushies are very good at covering up their crimes, as we have seen time and time again. For awhile anyway, they totally hoodwinked Clinton and Grey Davis and basically got away with it. Except for a few short stretches, the gouging has continued ever since and has gone global. Altogether it's the biggest ripoff scheme in the history of the planet.
