what I'm saying is that the current interest rates structure is too restrictive to maintain the status quo. Housing will continue to implode and take down the consumer and the economy with it.

A consumer led recession is a certainty in my mind. No amount of FCB call girl buying will prevent it unless they are willing to subsidize 3% fed funds at the next meeting.

The Fed is behind the curve if they hope to maintain the current level of economic activity. They need to cut rates by a minimum of 100 basis points next meeting if they want to avoid a recession in my opinion.

I hope they crank them higher another 25 basis points.

you end up with a vast slew of grossly overpriced securities, with far too many held by "official" institutions.

Military has retirement program called SBP (survivor benefit plan) - supposed to be much better than civilian plan because fed gubbment "supposedly" subsidize expenses - went to talk to guy on military base today about various elections of thier annuity - he says he retired from the air force 2 years ago - selected full coverage of his retired pay - now for the non military here - retired military medical, dental, and drug costs are going up AGAIN - this was promised to be FREE if you go get a couple purple hearts in vietnam and defend FREEDOM against the socialists/communists - hehe - anyways I ask guy come on - remember the bonus army that Patton ran over with the tanks after ww1 when they wanted their benefits - and with all these RISING costs that were supposed to be FREE - and with COLA (cost of living adjustment) way under REAL inflation do you really expect this to help beneficiary of annuity in the future - he seem to get really mad and say we all get LIED too son - its part of life - get used to it!! BWAHAHA! Phil Grande has this clip he plays of Jim Cramer where Jimmy Boy says "OK companies lie - so what - it's the american way" BWAHAHA! HAHA! Stop me - milk coming out my nose again~! I will have to call him up next week after he cools down and ask him what other investments is he personally doing to stay ahead of the lies.
