The evidence implies that Kerry received a general discharge. The military did not want to mess with the Court Marshal that a Dishonorable would have required. They just wanted to be rid of as many draftees as possible as quickly as possible.

Because Kerry refuses to release his military records we must assume that he did not receive a dishonorable discharge. He has also made it impossible to legally prove that President Bush is smarter than him based on the results of the military intelligence tests (which indicated that result).
