I know how to invest in oil and gas successfully but my scientific knowledge is minimal, as far as the nitty gritty of various alternative energy systems, if that is your drift.

I worked as a process operator at Exxon Refinery but that was 30-odd years ago. Powerformer #1 and #2, made longer chains out of light ends.

Grew up in Louisiana. Fished out in the Gulf tied up to the rigs.

My mom used to sell shares in wildcat oil wells -- I think the SEC put some of her bosses in jail, though.

My husband was an environmental engineer for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve for a while.

Learned a little oil and gas law at Tulane.

Every time oil prices go up, a bunch of coonasses and Texans think they got smart instead of lucky, but the Saudis always pulled the rug out from under them eventually (so far). Boom and bust, that's life in the oil patch.

I don't think I know much, just a little.
