Rightwing talk radio is a monopoly in many areas of the country including, until recently, Los ANgeles, one of the most liberal cities. How could this happen? Because the big radio networks finance the rightwing talkshows and have resisted giving air-time to anyone who disagrees. Hopefully Ed Schutlz and others are breaking through this barrier, but it's a big reason so many people in this country are ignorant and mis-informed, they confuse Hannity-Limbaugh with news.
