The Los Angeles code "does not punish people simply because they are homeless," wrote Rymer. "It targets conduct -- sitting, lying or sleeping on city sidewalks -- that can be committed by those with homes as well as those without." She was probably correct. I suspect the problem was that the LA police were only arresting those in skid row. Equal application of the law was what she missed. Why can't we just have the police "think" they are terrorists ... "in rags", "ragheads" ... close enough... and just shoot them? Our resident right wing nuts will support that. jttmab
