There's plenty of evidence, just not the big smoking gun which no one would expect to find. A whistleblower would have done it. Two executives took their lives, at Enron and El Paso Gas. Maybe they wanted to talk. Some say Ken Lay was even silenced. Whatever the case, it was a deliberately, orchestrated plan to gang up on Californa and steal-steal-steal in 2000-2001 falsifying energy shortages and spending many millions to blame their own crimes on democrats. And what were Bush-Cheney doing during that time? Supporting the gouging by their best corporate pals and making false excuses for it.

Who was the one man responsible for this plan to deceive and evade blame for the 30 billion dollar ripoff? Ed Gillespie. Enron's chief lobbyist/PR trickster who also worked with Bush-Cheney at the same time, and was soon after promoted by Bush to head the RNC despite the fact he should have been sent to prison. Gillespie is one of the main links, and it's undeniable.
