Since both Al-Qaeda and ISrael believe is violence as a way of settling differences, I think a lot of innocent lives would be saved if these two were destroyed. Not only is there a condemnation from the UN for the deliberate killing of their personnel by the Israelis, but other countries such as India etc. have joined in the condemnation of Israel as well. This is similar to what these nations did when Al-Qaeda attacked the US.

If Israel thinks that they can go wild and kill innocent folks including UN personnel who are out to maintain peace, then Israel has thumbed its nose at peace.

And if you are talking about the overthrow of the mullahs, I think there would be greater peace if Bush and his party is thrown out in Nov. 2006. All we have done during Bush's 6 years in office is war. And the Republican Congress has supported the wars. The American people are angry at the wingers who are quietly going back into their holes fearing for their survival.

The music will only change when Hezbollah is crushed and Israel is left in peace.

The same was said of PFLP and PLO. Now they have Hamas.

The innocent Lebanese who have lost their loved ones because of Israel's reckless bombing will join Hezbollah or whatever replaces it. Getting rid of Hezbollah, whatever that means, is not going to solve the issue. You can keep doing that over the next 60 years and you will end up with a similar or worse situation than what exists now.

Meanwhile the beat goes on. The music will only change when Hezbollah is crushed and Israel is left in peace.

Do you really think that Israel will be happy once Hezbollah is "crushed"?

I believe if Hezbollah is ever defeated or "crushed", Israel will create more excuses for more wars for territorial encroachment and expansion, knowing full well it will somehow get the support of the West sooner than later because the mindset of the West has been essentially anti-Islam since about 700 AD.

Make no mistake: Israel strives for regional dominance, and the US for continued hegemony over the world, and Israel is the US surrogate in the Middle East. Some folks even go so far as to say the Jews rule the world by proxy. Taking all this into consideration do you think Israel will be content after Hezbollah is gone?

By the way, did you know that when that now asleep Bulldozer-cum-Butcher" Sharon was asked in America by Israeli-Americans how they could help Israel, he replied, "Help AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee)". Later, in the Knesset, he boasted, "We have America under our control..........", thanks to AIPAC, of course.
