They get in their little tight knit group of liberal friends and bash everyone who is not a liberal. Then because they only hang with liberals and the news they attend to reinforces their bias they perceive that anyone not just like them is an extremist. I continue to wonder how 80% of the population to the right of them are all extremists.

As a member of that "batch", I also have some experience at being shot at. I saw a lot of my friends wounded and killed - and, if it wasn't for those "liberals" you are referring to, many more would have died...on both sides.
