some folks believe in the efficacy of that alternative solution, and I say no, not true, because (i) big gun invites bigger gun, (ii) food supply spoils, requires big gun to defend, cannot be exchanged with efficiency, and cannot be easily moved, (iii) land has a fixed taxing address, and title requires order and/or big gun to defend.

the vietnamese boat people with big gun, food store, and land did not do as well as the boat people with gold, is my casual observation
