Well... since there will be formal inquiries (Israel has promised one, for instance), we likely won't have to speculate.

(IMO though... if Israel wanted the UN peacekeeper's observation post to be abandoned so they could get on with their attack --- it would have been in their own best interests to just have said so, given the peacekeepers a deadline to abandon the position, and then blown it up.....)
