Where are your quotes ? Dr. M. Mahathir told Prez Bush that the Jews rule the world by proxy, and Bush was visibly embarrassed. Since then many people said more or less the same thing but I don't remember their names. Though Israel's economy may be down, it can count on the US for the necessary funds and materiel for more land grab just like what it has been doing during the past 50 years or so. Of course, the aid the US gave Israel was not intended for land grabbing but Israel have misused some of the money for that. Israel is attacked because the Arabs believe Israel was imposed upon them by the Western powers. Rightly or wrongly, I believe that fighting and warring will ever flare up again and again until the grievances of the Arabs are addressed or delegitimized. Perhaps the world should work towards delegitimizing Arab grievances and claims and then, if they act up again, to really put an absolute end to their nonsense for all time. As it is, there is too much deceptions and too much double standard in all dealings all around. Just my 2 bits worth. I don't accept the media or Israel's version that Hezbollah started it all. The grievances of the Arabs caused, say, by Israel's imprisonment of thousands of Palestinians without trial, and regular kidnap of Palestinians, have no doubt caused Hezbollah elements to feel justified to "kidnap" a couple of Israeli soldiers. According to Hezbollah, the prisoners were taken on Lebanon territory, not in Israel! Now, given the bias of the western and Israeli media against all Moslems, one has to wonder if indeed the media and Israel told the truth. .
