I read the same thing you posted. It confuses me. If the IDF is not going to expand its S. Lebanon operation why the call up of so many reserves? Or, do they mean not to expand beyond the operation to clean out all of S. Lebanon as air and artillery strikes presently are working on? Anyway, I assume this means to solidify gains made and move step by step to increase them, but with a more mature military force in operation.

It could be stated that the Americans are willing to back this engagement to the last Israeli. Now, how about the IAF interdicting more of the air and truck traffic into Lebanon from Syria, and maybe blowing up a plane or truck now and then that is known to be full of military hardware? That would sure get the world's attention and perhaps better implicate the perfidy of Syria.

Or better, it would be neat if the IDF's special ops guys could capture a fresh load of hardware just after it landed somewhere in northern Lebanon -- and do so with a CNN news crew present to make sure the world sees the items.

The mightest military army in the Middle East needs more troops?

Will they fight face to face or from their American helicopters and jets?
