I'm not sure we need a third party. Until the country wakes up and pays attention to the mid-term and long-term consequences of our policies we'll continue to elect shortsighted, lead from behind, marketable, shape changers. And they'll continue to place their personal interests ahead of the interests of this once great nation and the ideals and character upon which it was founded.

Democracy is wilting here for lack of interest. It might take a sharp poke with a stick to get our attention. I'd have thought that would have happened with what's going on in Iraq, but it hasn't yet. Maybe it's beginning. Ed
