If its "a raid" apparently you aren't talking about overthrowing the government. I don't think we are smart enough to do it right. I see the same problem there as with the Hezbollah. We need to kill people, not destroy property. The "People" that need to be eliminated in Iran are the Top Mullahs and the top radical leaders. The result would hopefully lead to a more moderate Government. But this is not going to happen. I have read extensively on our Afghan campaign, and looking at Afghanistan now, I think we would have been much smarter to let the Northern Alliance Tribes take over and run Kabul. That "State" is not governable as a State. It is composed of tribal regions that can govern themselves, with a very weak central Government. A "Switzerland" solution. As long as we support a strong central government there, continued strife will be the result. We are attempting what the Russians tried and failed to do. Put in a stable central government.
