you are right they will melt into the population but if if israel can destroy the vast mulittude of their weapons and barracks that will give the isreaeli population a few more years of relative peace. It may also give the arab civillians pause as to whether they want to have terorists activities in their midst next time.

Like too many other countries in that region, Israel is an artificial creation thanks to European colonialism (and anti-Semitism). So I don't know about the long wave viability of Israel, nor the "benefits" to us of that country appearing as if it were a 51st American state, but have the feeling that today's armchair or active anti-Semites aren't going to live long enough to actually see the destruction of the country. Hell, we're still waiting for Castro to fall here in the US !

I just wish it weren't front page news each time there's another petty skirmish over there. Probably a thousand times more people have been killed in Darfur, but that rarely makes front page news.
