We are monitoring the movement of four tropical waves. They are located along 28 west, south of 18 north, along 38 west, south of 12 north, along 72 west, south of 24 north, and along 90 west, south of 20 north. The waves are moving west at an average speed of 6-8 degrees longitude per day. Another wave will be exiting shortly off the coast of Africa around 18 west and south of 20 north.

The most promising waves appear around 38 west, where a large area of convection is moving toward a zone with less shear in it. This system should be watched in the next few days for organization. The other areas are not among favorable areas of development at this time.
