These rank at the top of the world's nastiest and most untrustworthy negotiating partners, but they also happen to be the ones causing most of the trouble--and are, therefore, the ones we have to deal with.

Negotiating with these guys is nothing but a waste of time. I'll take that back, not a waste, not for terrorism and Islamic fascists. There's no middle road here, if it's proven that a state or country supports terrorism with money, arms and intelligence then those countries should have no say on anything and the world should isolate them completely. Iran, Syria and yes, Lebanon too should have nothing to do with any negotiations. Iran and Syrias involvement is readily apparent. Lebanon has had 6 years to deal with the Hezbellah problem........in that time the Lebanese Gov. has done nothing to suppress the movement........
