How about Hitler? "That's an insult, ***hole." Is it? Before you start calling people names, why don't you get the facts. Hitler was an extremist rightie just as the aytollahs of Iran are. Did you know that "Nazi" stands for "National Socialist Arbeiter Partei"? Notice "Socialist" in there? Are socialists left or right? And if you know anything about the party's actual policies (which I seriously doubt) you know it did, in fact, have many socialist policies. "Would you care to name ANY Republican that murdered or enslaved millions? I CAN think of a party that did, though: the Democratic Party. They WERE the party of the slaveowners and the Jim Crow laws, weren't they? Ever hear the phrase "copperhead Democrat"? Ever hear of the Lincoln-Douglas debates? Know what party Douglas was in?" That was 150 years ago. Unfortunately, the party of Lincoln has become in 2006 the party of the rich and those people who lack color. In the 1960s, the Southern Dixiecrats jumped to the GOP. Why? Because the Dems didn't allow klan meetings. Poor Lincoln would hang his head in shame if he saw what his party had become......one that is full of cronyism, corruption and rove spin. Sad........very sad! Yeah? Who was the first President to appoint a BLACK National Security Advisor? And TWO BLACK Secretaries of State? Hint: He wasn't a Democrat. How many Hispanoics are there in Bush's Cabinet? How many women? Since you seem to have a very hard time doing any research of your own, let me help you: whitehouse.gov

It would seem to me, that the party of the rich, are just as much Democrat as Republican (look at the net worth of the Kerrys, Rockefellers, Kennedys, Corzine, Buffet, Soros...). Maybe that is why the greatest disparity of wealth between occurred during the Clinton Administration (it has taken 6 years for the net value of the Forbes 400 to reach Clinton Era highs despite GDP growing about 30% in that period). If you look where segregation is the greatest in America, it is not in the South, but the urban Northeast and places in the northern (rustbelt) urban Midwest - liberal strongholds. If you look at the West Coast, you will find that the most conservative urban areas in the far west are less segregated than the more liberal urban areas. That is today! At the turn of the 20th Century there was a great migration of African Americans from the Democratic South to the Republican Northeast. Now at the turn of the 21st Century, there is a net migration of African Americans from the Democratic Northeast to the Republican South. African Americans may vote for Democrats during elections, but they vote with their moving vans and new addresses for the Republicans.
