I was one of the many people here who said exactly that - that Zarqawi's exit would not make any difference whatsoever.

One doesn't have to be a genius to realize that Dumbya and other neocons' policies will make things worse everywhere - at home and wherever they are messing up abroad. One just has to have a little common sense.

Short and dim memory grasshopper. SI search is pretty bad, but there were many posts mocking the idea that killing al-Zarqawi wasn't going to slow down or stop the violence.

I doubt you can find one poster who agreed to be mocking that idea. I'm sure some posters said his death was a good thing, but I'd be surprised if there is a post where someone actually claims "we got him, now the violence is going to wind down, and anyone who disagrees is an idiot (and deserves to be mocked, by me!)."

Nevertheless, I do have a short and dim memory, so you may be right.....but I doubt it.
