So then why does Israel not comply with the UN and give it back to Syria? You like to quote the UN when it suits you.

Are you really such a moron that you don't know the answer to that??

Syria and Israel are STILL technically involved in a state of war. They have been since 1967 (if not 1948).

And the Israelis have NO OBLIGATION to return land to Syria until a final peace treaty, similar to the one Egypt and Jordan hashed out, is passed..

UNSC 242.. Land for Peace... etc.

Now it's up to the Lebanese and Syrians to hash out who owns Shaba Farms. If the Syrians want to cede sovereign claim over that territory, then it will be very easy for Israel to negotiate a deal with Lebanon to give it sovereignty over the territory.

But Lebanon ALSO HAS NOT signed a peace treaty with Israel. So what basis in logic would Israel have for giving Shaba farms to the Lebanese without establishing a final peace treaty between the two nations??

I really expect more from you Neolib.. Are you sure that one of your neighborhood pre-teens isn't sneaking onto your computer??
