I think Israel's Lebanese adventure has been a tremendous mistake. Israel cannot kill all the folks it wants to- and for each person it has killed in Lebanon, it has probably create a 10 fold problem for itself in times to come. Extermination sounds like a lovely answer, until you try to exterminate - then you find out an ideology is hard to kill that way. I'd say Israel is screwed, and because it is screwed, it's going to screw the rest of the region. It's too bad Israel exists in the midst a sea of countries that want it destroyed, and since it does, we will never see peace in the ME. As I have said elsewhere, it will end with nukes. It's sad, but what can you do? I see no solution to the ME problems.
