CLinton was actively trying to kill Osama Bin Laden and almost succeeded several times. His most active period going after Osama sadly coincided with the rightwing hijacking of government business centered around their witchhunt into Clinton's sex life, which should never have been investigated in the first place. When Clinton hit Osama's network in North Africa with Cruise Missiles, the rightwing laughed at him, claiming Clinton was trying to avoid the Monica issue by starting a phony military action, and accusing him falsely of blowing up an "aspirin factory which was actually a Bin Laden owned chemical plant. Clinton then organized a Pakistani hit team to go into Afghanmistan and assassinate Bin Laden. When Bush came into power, he disbanded that and everything else including all of Richard Clarke's organization. Bush called the FBI off the Saudis and never mentioned terrorism until aftyer 9-11. Even ignored the alarming 8-6-01 warning which predicted 9-11. Bush was AWOL on counter-terrorism. And now has made terrorists much stronger around the world through his blundering anti-diplomacy and failure to plan in Iraq.
