most Arabs want the Jews thrown into the sea.

Then why haven't they done it?

What strangely keeps getting lost in this discussion is who started this. The latest incidents were started first by Hamas crossing the Israeli border, kidnapping an Israeli soldier, then by Hezbollah crossing the Israeli border, killing 8 Israeli soldiers, and kidnapping 2 soldiers.

Both of these incidents were acts of war under international law. Hezbollah had been lobbing rockets into northern Israel for years;

Israel decided to stop this by emasculating Hezbollah. Hezabollah had long had a habit of putting its military installations in residential neighborhoods, making it impossible to destroy them without kiliing civilians. In the latest incident involving the UN, the UN commander of the position had radioed his command shortly before the Israeli bombing (assuming the Isralis were responsible) that Hezbollah had put military personnel and equipment right next to them, according to radio reports. Shortly thereafter a strike was made which killed 4 UN peacekeeper soldiers. Had Hezbollah not planted itself next to a UN position, as it is prone to use civilians as human shields in other situations, this whole incident would not have occurred.

Who noticed that Kofi Annan accused Israel of a deliberate attack on UN forces, THEN called for an investigation to find out what happened?
