Hi Dave, Based on a little experimenting, I've come to the conclusion that whenever a post contains the " " and " " tags -- with the correct bracket style, of course -- text outside the pre-formatted area uses the maximum window width (width=absolute_number, maybe) instead of the available window (width=100%). After spending considerable time shrinking the width of tabular data, this is disappointing. Ron
