A lot of Israelis don't see this as attainable. The world isn't going to allow Israel to kill Lebanese in the pursuit of Hezbollah forever. All I see for Israel is a worse image than they have now, a Lebanon much more aligned with Hezbollah, and an Arab world even more solidly against Israel if this continues.

Israel is grimly determined to clear out Hizbullah. Right, Left and Center. They will continue. They know they cannot afford to project weakness now. Israel has already demonstrated their eagerness for ethnic cleansing. It won't take a lot more to demonstrate their willingness to commit genocide. The trained forces of Hezbollah number 3-5 thousand; the Hezbollah militia is upwards of another 50,000. Israel hasn't made a dent. But Israel is building Muslim world support for Hezbollah. Israel has already lost; Hezbollah has won. The Israelis just don't know it yet. Nor do you. The longer Israel continues the bigger they lose in the long run. The middle east is running nice pictures of the dead children from Qana along with a smiley faced Condi Rice shaking hands with Olmert. So the US loses also. Pictures say a lot more than the Olmert's statements to the press. Peretz, the butcher has a nice ring to it though. jttmab
