Black Hawks, valued at $252 million, will also go to Bahrain. The $2.9 billion Saudi deal includes up to $400 million in AH-64 Apache helicopters, and 58 older-generation U.S. M1A1 Abrams tanks that would be updated. In addition, 315 Abrams tanks owned by the Saudis would be modernized with air-conditioning and infrared sights for commanders and gunners. The announcement comes two weeks after the Bush administration said it will sell Israel up to $210 million in JP-8 aviation fuel to help "keep peace and security in the region." <<
