Some Syrian spokesperson on the news yesterday said that the Shebba Farms are Lebanese territory (according to Syria, evidently the UN says it is Syrian territory).

Great!! Now all they have to do is "officially" renounce all claim to the area and Israel can negotiate it's transfer to Lebanon in exchange for a cease-fire and disarming of Hizbullah.

After all, if Hizbullah loses its "casus belli" (fraudulent and contrived as I believe it is) in Shaba farms, then there is no reason for them to be engaged in an armed struggle against Israel.

It could become a "chip" in a future attempt to provide a "face-saving" solution to all sides and still result in the overall goal, disarming of Hizbullah and restoration of Lebanese sovereignty and control over its borders.
